The location is great – right across a quiet park, yet just a short stroll brings you to lively terrace cafés and restaurants. At the front desk a local staff member who spoke a bit of Japanese was very friendly, and the room was spotless; they even gave me an upgrade.

The staff were pleasant and the hotel looked nice, but the 140‑cm bed was far too narrow for two people to get a decent night’s sleep.

The breakfast spread was lovely, though it felt a bit pricey. Traveling with my fourteen‑year‑old son, we wished for two separate beds or at least the option to split the large double; we had to share it. The fire alarm on the final night was managed well, but it would have been better if it never occurred.

The location was excellent, the staff very friendly, and overall I enjoyed my stay.

The spot is great with shops, bars and restaurants just a short walk away, and the station/Dom is only 10‑15 m away. I ran into a couple of problems, but the staff reacted quickly and offered an alternative room. The room was clean and nice, and the safe was big enough to fit a laptop. However, there were no tea or coffee making facilities, no minibar, and no room service.
