We were initially assigned to a guest house about 50 m next door, so I can only comment on the breakfast there – not on the Brunnen inn itself, and I didn’t answer any extra questions. The breakfast was very good, from pastries to sausages, cheese, fruit and vegetables, various spreads, boiled eggs, jam, yogurt with fruit salad, and several types of muesli and extra grains. All in all, it was very worthwhile. The only issue was the guest house next door: in room 16 on the ground floor, you can hear the vending machine on the hallway floor humming constantly all night. If that bothers you, use another room or turn it off if possible.

They offered a breakfast with everything you could wish for, and the location in the Altmühltal was great. With kids it was just right – you could sleep upstairs and dine downstairs or in the garden. We had two rooms opposite each other, so the grandkids could walk around. The parking spot had a charging station and was almost directly opposite the inn. For our purposes there was nothing to complain about. The host greeted us nicely at breakfast, and in the evening we had a half‑pint with pleasant conversation with the staff.

The hosts were cozy, the food was great, and the surroundings were calm. The town was more than just quiet. The only real dining option was the hotel’s restaurant.

Breakfast was varied and everything was available. The staff and owner were very friendly, and everything felt very family‑like.
