The staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast ran late so there was no rush; almost every night had entertainment, which was a nice bonus. It would help if rooms had a small fridge to keep drinks cool, and a separate hair dryer, even though one was given when asked.

The location was convenient for visiting local family, and the room was large with comfortable beds. The wetroom in Room 202 looked grubby where floor and wall met, and the drainage was bad because the whole floor got wet; the shower attachment wasn’t fixed properly and sprayed everywhere. Toiletries were scarce, noise insulation was terrible, and the wardrobe and bathroom doors were clunky—one could hear them opening and closing in other rooms. At 3 am I could clearly hear someone in the next room talking on the phone. The room decor could use a refresh and more detail, like a picture or two. Check‑in was dreadful: a new computer system only one person knew, and he kept being called away, leaving his colleague unable to process guests. The person checking us had to leave her TIE card as a security deposit because the system wouldn’t accept Visa or Mastercard, giving a very poor first impression. The staff were pleasant but there seemed to be too few of them, and multitasking caused delays.
