“We have cancelled right away after arrival and went to a other hotel.”
It was cheaper than other Izmir hotels, but the area felt unsafe and the taxi driver warned us against going out after dark. The room was filthy, with stains, hair everywhere, a strong cigarette odor inside and in the hallway, and it couldn’t be locked properly, raising serious security concerns. One of the two air‑conditioners didn’t work, and the bathroom was one of the dirtiest I’ve ever seen.

Absolutely nothing was good! Everything was horrendous, horrendous, horrendous 😥😡😭 – the hotel was far from anything – the neighbourhood was terrible – the area felt unsafe – there were loads of street people – it was extremely noisy – none of the staff spoke a foreign language – the whole place reeked of cigarettes – employees smoked in the lobby – filth was everywhere – the linens were dirty (one of four beds had never been changed) – the bathroom smelled awful, the shower door was broken and the shower head was busted – the room was much smaller than the photos suggested – there was cigarette smell in the room – the blanket cover was missing – all four blankets were gone – towels were torn, yellowed and smelly – the street outside was filthy – the floor and carpets hadn’t been vacuumed – a huge amount of dust covered the nightstands – grime under the beds – two pillows had hair strands on them – street noise was blaring – windows were filthy, probably not cleaned in ages – the headboard was broken – the bathroom door wouldn’t close (the latch was broken, almost non‑existent) – a one‑centimetre layer of grime covered the apartment entrance door – the sheets had a huge hole about 10 cm across – the air‑conditioning was extremely noisy – etc.
The staff were friendly, but everything else felt like the hotel was still under renovation because of the furniture at the reception. After a long trip we stayed one day and never got a hot shower; there was no hot water. In the morning the toilet had no water either, and the staff told us to use the bathroom at the hotel across the street.

The place was extremely dirty, and everything was broken.
“Prime location and friendly staff.”
The location was good and the staff were very friendly, but the beds were dirty, the fridge didn’t work, and there was a lot of noise from the construction next door.
