“Great retreat”
The atmosphere and staff were very helpful. There was a small issue with the water heater in the shower, but they fixed it urgently.

Everything was fine, but the food was not.

The location was perfect, the food was really good, the nature was the best, and the staff were the best of the best.

The place is one of the coolest spots in KTM, blending nature right into the property.

The meals were tasty and pleasant, though the portions felt small for the price. A few staff members, like the porter and our server, were genuinely kind and helpful. We stayed for 2 nights, and it turned out to be one of our worst hotel experiences, especially since it markets itself as a 5‑star property. In reality, it feels more like a 2 or 3‑star hotel. The only “5‑star” thing was the luxury tax we paid. From day one, our room looked outdated; the toilet seat was old and broken, the flush didn’t work properly, and the AC was broken. Despite the “Forest Resort” claim, there was no real opportunity to wander around or explore—the layout seemed designed only for golfers, leaving regular guests with nowhere to go. They say they’re family‑friendly, yet there was nothing for kids to play with; the play area was just rusty steel frames. The swimming pool felt more like a public pool than a private amenity, and staff would question us and try to charge us every time we used it. Overall, this place is not recommended. From no angle is this a 5‑star resort. Having stayed at many true 5‑star hotels, we can confidently say this place does not meet that standard, despite the 5‑star price tag.
