“Hôtel fonctionnel”
The Japanese hotel is a bit old but functional; the view from the train side is nice and lets you watch the trains, and the hotel isn’t far from the station, although you still have to walk a little.

The easy access from Masuda Station and the fact that the place stands out in the neighbourhood make me want to return. The only surprise was that after crossing the street and taking a long detour under the pass, I didn’t realize there was a staircase right before the entrance.

The location visible from the window is great, but the door lock feels old.

The breakfast offered a wide variety of side dishes and was very tasty, leaving me completely satisfied. The payment instructions for the room charge were confusing at booking; it would be much clearer to simply state “pay at check‑in.”

The food was tasty, but the pillow was too high for my liking.
