“Charming and cozy.”
A lovely little creek runs through the garden area, offering many spots to sit and enjoy. I have nothing negative to say.

The spot was perfect, and walking to the city was easy; I found the place quiet and loved the neighborhood.

The little town of Nevada City is worth a visit – a gorgeous old gold‑rush village that has kept its charm into modern times. Thanks to Corona, many wealthy Californians settled here and revitalised the town. It’s full of beautifully restored Victorian houses, restaurants, and tiny shops, and a stroll through the village is worthwhile! Flume's End is a 5‑minute walk from the centre and is ideally positioned. The house itself is a unique piece, lovingly restored, brimming with the owners’ collections (especially an eccentric mug collection) and a true gem. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the creek, a lovely garden behind the house, and it felt like a fairytale. One could easily spend a few extra days here and explore the area! Breakfast is taken in the shared kitchen; coffee, eggs, yoghurt, and fresh fruit are ready, along with plenty of sweets. The only downside was that the breakfast could be improved if a slice of toast were offered instead of just sweets.

Close to nature, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, and near the historic area of Nevada City, CA. Beware of many steps and be careful; parking is tricky, but overall it’s an outstanding property.

The setting was beautiful with a creek and I could hear the water at night. The cottage was charming, whimsical, and felt like visiting my grandmother’s cottage. The shower was good, and the manager was very nice. It’s close to the highway, so truck noise could be heard at times. We expected a full breakfast, but it was only a continental with pastries, hard‑boiled eggs, great coffee, and some juice; the description made us think it would be a real breakfast, which changed the value a bit.
