“Best beachfront hotel with the most amazing staff in Sumba”

The hotel sits on a long empty beach, shaded most of the day with shallow water, perfect for kids, and the staff was amazing, going above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay, even treating us to a special dinner on our last night; it was by far the best hospitality we had in a long time, highly recommend this place, and don’t hesitate to book Cemera! Also ask for a little ride on the beach for kids, you won’t regret it. It was perfect.

The staff are very nice, the beach location is great, the food is delicious, and the ambience is lovely; there was only one scooter available to rent, which wasn’t a problem for us since we were the only guests.

“Un vrai petit coin de paradis, avec un accueil exceptionnel !”

The staff were exceptionally kind, which really made a difference during our stay. We were welcomed so well—five‑star service! The place was very secluded, which we loved. We felt like we were alone in the world, with the beach just for us, an ideal setting to disconnect and enjoy the calm and nature. The rooms were a bit old‑fashioned, but they opened directly onto the beach.

“Little gem with beautiful beachfront!”

The beach was absolutely amazing, with no tourism yet and just a few local kids playing—now THAT is luxury! The staff were really helpful and kind. The restaurant food was good, with plenty of choices and well prepared. There was no internet. It would have been nice to know this beforehand so we could have prepared better. The location is so remote that the Wi‑Fi was zero. We tried two different local SIM cards ourselves, but no luck at this spot. Maybe the owner could consider investing in Starlink? It worked perfectly at another hotel, even more remote. Be aware: reception is poor all over the island—especially the east of Sumba.

The location is great on the beach and close to Tangeddu waterfall. The staff were lovely, helpful, and attentive. The food was delicious, and the extra effort the staff made to ensure our stay was memorable was deeply appreciated.
