“A great deal of care has been invested in refeshing the rooms here!”
The downstairs bar felt like a classic Irish pub, worn and full of locals, yet the staff still greeted us warmly. When the staff guided us to our room through the back of the bar, there was a brief hesitation, but once we were upstairs the difference was striking. Our room was spotless, modern, and clearly cared for, with a spacious layout and meticulous details that impressed me. Even though the front of the room faced the street, a closed window kept traffic noise nearly silent, while the back bathroom window let in plenty of fresh air. We ate at Harry's Place just around the corner, the only spot open on a Sunday night, and we managed to get a table and a good meal without trouble. It was our first night in Northern Ireland and I’m happy with the choice; I’ll return next time I’m in NI. The parking is a free public lot across the street, which was a bit of a worry for our motorcycle and a short walk with luggage, but it didn’t bother us. The steep stairs to the rooms could be a challenge for some. Breakfast came via vouchers, letting us choose between two nearby venues; it wasn’t ideal if it rained, but we were lucky.
