The hotel was clean, the room was lovely, the staff were very responsive, the surroundings are very beautiful, and breakfast was 10/10 with a wide selection; it’s a very nice place to stay.

The location in Bath is very convenient, the staff are very pleasant and helpful, the food—especially breakfast—is excellent, and everything is all‑perfect.

Parking was included and the breakfast was excellent; the room was a good size, the bed was huge and very comfortable, the setting was pretty and convenient for sightseeing in Bath, but our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, the wait was promised 10‑15 minutes but took 45, the room lacked teabags and we never received any after requesting, the shower pressure was fine but the temperature cycled to freezing every few minutes and the plumbing smelled nasty—minor annoyances that dimmed the appeal of a nice room.

Apart from the location, nothing else stood out positively; check‑in was delayed, we received the wrong bags, there was insufficient toilet paper, breakfast started late, the filter coffee was poorly filtered, the bathroom and room were not clean enough and dust covered the room, the fridge hummed constantly, the kettle was unwashed and contained yellow liquid, some reception staff were rude, bartenders stared at us and addressed us as “Sir” even though we are women.
