We arrived in Dresden around 14:00 on 15.8.2026, and it was sweltering; the listing said check‑in at 17:00, yet the kind host let us in at 15:00 after we asked, so we could head straight to the accommodation, freshen up, and drop our luggage. Thanks again for the little bowl of fresh plums he provided. About a five‑minute walk from the place is a Norma market and a bakery that stays open until 10 am on Sundays.

“Gute Unterkunft”

The host was friendly and humorous, and the décor is appealing; the room has its own bathroom with a shower, a single and a double bed, a coffee machine, and a kettle. Parking is also fine, and it’s the cheapest stay in the area. If you’re considering booking, note that it’s a private room inside the host’s apartment, which wasn’t a problem for us but might not suit everyone. The only downside is the low water pressure in the shower.

The stay was overall extremely disappointing. From the start the host was disrespectful and rude, leaving a bad first impression. The property itself does not match the description at all; it was in a fatal, somewhat dilapidated state, clearly not cleaned thoroughly or cared for in terms of basic hygiene. Dirt was everywhere, and the apartment felt neglected and unlovingly arranged. I didn’t feel comfortable at all; the atmosphere was unpleasant and it seemed that neither cleanliness nor hospitality were priorities. In short, the place is far from what was promised in the listing.

“Besser nicht”

Nothing positive—just a room inside an apartment that wasn’t mentioned in the description, so we end up sharing the space with the owner, which is unacceptable.
