The service was simple, but nobody was present when we arrived.
“Nur für den Notfall buchen”
There are plenty of parking spaces around the hotel, but the beds squeaked, the window was broken, the wallpaper peeled off the wall, we could hear the neighbors’ conversations word for word, and at check‑in we were left standing for a long time because they didn’t hear us even after ringing the bell multiple times.
Everything was clean, the room well equipped and the breakfast tasty and sufficient. Check‑in needs improvement – we arrived with six people, all doors were locked, and although we had three rooms booked for 13:00, no one was there to let us in. We waited over half an hour, and because we had to change for a wedding ceremony, the time became very tight. A shame, otherwise the Etzhorner Krug is a nice three‑star hotel.
There was no breakfast on the day of departure.
The breakfast was superb and the staff were friendly. Checking in was done without any personnel on site; it worked fine but felt very impersonal, and I think someone should be present at least until 18:00. Not a good development.
