The old house is beautiful, the owner is kind and skilled in cooking, and the dinner and breakfast are of exceptional quality. The secluded spot in a mountain village offers terrace rice field views.

SCAM ALERT. Avoid this scam – it literally is nothing as advertised. The barbecue is not like the pictures, not in the stars, rooms fill with fumes, meats are chewy and unsuitable for barbecue, you have to do it yourself and your suitcase will smell like barbecue for the rest of your trip, and it will look nothing like the hotel’s photos, all for just 13000 yen. Breakfast is a processed supermarket meal, and no sauna or other advertised amenities are offered. We’re sorry to have encountered this in Shikoku, our favorite island.
