The city centre wasn’t far, so the location was good. The floors in the room were dirty, the bathroom walls were also dirty, and the ceiling was sagging. The AC didn’t work and the fan looked like it might fall off, making a loud clicking noise, but I had to use it because the walls were thin, neighbors snored, and slamming doors kept me from sleeping. In the morning bugs crawled on the floor, and the bed wasn’t very comfortable either.

The hotel sits on a quiet side street yet is only a short stroll from the main tourist spots, especially Chinatown. I appreciated the outdoor area near the entrance where I could sit at the table and read my book at night, though the chair was absurdly hard so I ended up sitting on a pillow. The room itself was adequate, the air‑conditioning worked well, and the water pressure was fine. The worst part was the Wi‑Fi—by far the worst I've experienced in my two and a half months traveling around Malaysia; some evenings it simply didn’t work from my room. The walls are super thin, so any noise from the corridor and reception area bleeds right into your ears. For the low price, I was satisfied overall.
