The old Scottish building was lovely, but Selkirk was very quiet in October; I was the only guest at the property and missed any interaction.

“Very quiet and peaceful location. As a woman travelling on her own I felt very safe.”

It was a very good choice—food was freshly cooked and the bacon was especially good, though I would have liked freshly made coffee.

The location was wonderful, the estate beautiful, and the beds extremely comfortable; host Sammy and Micheal were great, the dinner was very nice, and the lounge with fireplace and bar was lovely—nothing to complain about.
