The cabin sits in a forest with a choice for two horses. A short walk takes you up a hill overlooking the landscape and Kašperk Castle. On the ground floor there’s a large “school‑style” kitchen with refrigerators, which was completely clean. Shared areas and rooms were also very clean, with new bathrooms. The owner was helpful. However, for the price you could find nicer lodging closer to NP Šumava. The place has a rather specific, uneven vibe that’s hard to describe and didn’t let us be fully at ease. The photos show the spaces a bit nicer than they are in reality. I don’t recommend it for people with a strong allergy to dogs; the owner’s dog often barks even inside. That didn’t bother us, just a heads‑up for others.

The quiet and clean nature is lovely, but breakfast should be provided outside the kitchen.

The cabin’s location right next to the horses was great. Excellent facilities and a dog‑friendly owner. The room was clean and ready.
