How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The area was fine, but everything else was terrible. The housekeeping was rude, only giving one sheet to cover us as November was already cold in Zaandam. It’s the worst place I’ve slept in the Netherlands. Shame.

The location was nice, but that was about it… We booked a hostel with ADE because we weren’t leaving the Amsterdam area. We checked in around noon and left our stuff on the bed with the curtain closed. When we returned around 4 a.m. after the party, an unknown man was in one of our beds! With a lot of pain and effort in English, he finally left the room, but we didn’t feel safe anymore, especially since he knew the door codes. On top of that, there was no ventilation in the room, everything was damp when we woke up, the bathroom was filthy, with mold on the ceiling. If we had found this sober, we probably would have reacted more strongly. Still, we can’t accept this.

The location near the station and close to my destination was great. The bathroom was the problem: the shower door and the toilet seat were loose or broken. Buying a towel costs €3,00.

It was the worst experience ever; the hostel owner cares only about money, not about his guests. A very bad hostel, only focused on money.
