I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel in the heart of Maydan Talaat Harb; the spot feels authentically like a black‑and‑white film, the place is clean, and I loved the décor that adds a lot of charm and character. Huge thanks to receptionist Wael, who was helpful, welcoming, and always ready to assist. The only downside was the nighttime noise because the hotel faces a very busy boulevard.

The location is in the lively downtown Cairo, and the beautiful late‑19th‑century building and the matching yellow‑ochre structure across the street give a sense of old Egyptian cinema or novels from the mid‑last century. But above all, I really appreciated the extreme grace and kindness of the reception staff at Cairo Inn the Royal. Everything was perfect.

The location, balcony, breakfast, and bed were all great. Our flight left very late, and the person in charge allowed us a late checkout for a reasonable price adjustment. The noise was a bit of an issue, but it wasn’t a big deal because you’re tired after a long day and even with noise you can sleep well on such a comfortable bed.
