“Horrible”
When I got to Royal Village around noon, nobody was at the front desk. I called the number I’d been given and, having already spoken to the manager before arriving, I expected a quick fix. Instead, a man came to pick me up but didn’t take me to the hotel; he drove me to his private house. I waited there for four hours before he even spoke properly to me. He was extremely unfriendly, arrogant, and useless. Rather than offering a solution, he asked what I wanted from him. He also insisted I was traveling alone, even though my booking was for two people. I felt unsafe and uncomfortable as a woman in a foreign country after a long journey, being taken to a stranger’s home and left there for hours. I had to find another place myself. Later I argued with the manager about a refund; he wouldn’t process it officially and offered cash, not the full amount. Only after my father intervened from Germany did I finally get the full refund. He later sent me a screenshot of their conversation as “proof” of the refund, but the screenshot also showed that he had waived their commission for “good cooperation.” I found that extremely concerning. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled – the lack of responsibility, the behavior, and the disregard for my safety – is unacceptable and hard to overlook. It’s unbelievable that someone can act like this without consequences.
