“Séjour inoubliable”
The spot is outstanding, clean, and convenient. I was greeted at the dock like a returnee, very friendly and smiling. It’s a pity there’s no internet, but it’s still a fantastic place.

We had an excellent stay at Hiva Plage, staying in a double room just 20 m from the beach. The surroundings were superb on the lagoon’s edge, where we watched whales off the coral reef and found a great snorkeling spot. We opted for half‑board, and Christelle treated us to fantastic dishes. Breakfast was also excellent, featuring homemade jam. The location is a bit isolated, so rent a car or scooter.

Christelle and Terri’s kindness and sharing made us feel right at home. The lagoon and the variety of fish right by the room were a treat. Hiking with Terri, she shared her love and knowledge of the island. The lack of hot water was inconvenient, but we managed without much trouble.

Everything was very dirty and poorly maintained; the transfer costs 3000 XPF per person, so for two of us that’s 6000 XPF for the same trip—unfair.

The rooms are excellently located, the snorkeling right outside the room is beautiful, the value for money is good, and the owners are courteous. Nothing to complain about; the equipment is rather basic.
