“Cozy traditional hotel with great service in great location!”
The property sits right in the middle of town, just a few minutes’ walk to the bus terminal and several free shuttle stops that head to Goryu, Hakuba 47, Tsugaike, and Iwatake. We were the only two guests around the end of winter (late March 2026), and Hiro‑san and his crew took care of us perfectly. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, giving us plenty of energy for a day on the slopes. Each morning, Hiro‑san and his team wished us a good day before we headed out. It’s a traditional Japanese hotel, so you’ll sleep on tatami with futons and swap outside shoes for indoor slippers when you enter. The onsen on the top floor was very clean. Honestly, there isn’t much to complain about. Seasoned skiers who are used to modern ski lockers might find the drying room a bit basic—no boot dryers, for example—though it did dry our boards and skis overnight. Spring skiing made our snowboard boots wetter than earlier in the season, which made them harder to dry without boot dryers.
