I usually stay at the capsule hotel I frequent, but it was fully booked, so I booked this guesthouse for the first time. I had seen in reviews that the check‑in details would be sent by email, so I kept waiting for the arrival notice and it actually arrived the day before. The email listed the room name and included a clear image guide for check‑in, and the front desk posted instructions on how to return the key at check‑out, which eased my initial anxiety and everything worked fine. Everyone else seemed fine too, probably. The whole no‑face‑to‑face check‑in/check‑out system is really convenient. The shower room is a private stall, there are two of them; I didn’t use it but at that price it’s more than enough. There’s just one toilet, and it was clean. The only downside was that I could hear noises from other rooms and the hallway, but that’s normal, even in my own apartment. The futon was clean, and compared to Sora Hotel, it was no worse. The air conditioning and the room with outlets let me stretch my legs and sleep comfortably, which was all I needed.

I snagged a cheap room on the day of the fireworks, which was great. However, the cleaning was insufficient; the previous guest’s trash was still there, and overall the place felt unclean.

At this price, a private room is a good deal. I used Google Maps to find the place, but it was confusing. The entrance was on the side of the shopping street, and the owner was friendly and helpful.

The staff knew there was construction noise in my booked room and arranged a replacement room in advance. I could also call the staff smoothly. I didn’t use the kitchen, but it’s fully equipped for cooking, so I’d take advantage next time. The only minor issue was that, since the building is a converted house rather than a purpose‑built lodging, I was momentarily confused about the room layout and positions. The staff answered my phone right away. The amenity list and nearby map could be printed on site for extra convenience, even though I could find them online.
