“Ok for one night”
Good parking. The location is so remote that you really need a car. There are no drinks sold on the premises, and the menu is entirely vegetarian because of the owners’ Muslim beliefs.

The manager was very helpful and friendly, and the Indian breakfast was tasty; the grounds are lovely and the location is beautiful.

The location suited our needs perfectly, and the house was lovely; a tour on arrival felt very welcoming. The grounds were beautiful for a stroll before heading out in the evening. The room was comfortable with beds, a bunk, tea and coffee making, and plenty of drawer space, though there was no place to hang anything. The staff were friendly and the house was clearly being refurbished, yet it was quiet at night. If I return to the area, I would definitely consider staying here again. The bathroom light didn’t turn off, which wasn’t a problem but wasted electricity. We were told the carpet was oil‑stained by the door—no issue. The light over the top bunk didn’t work, so I moved the bedside lamp from the double bed to the bunk to read. Construction was happening, but it had stopped when we needed to sleep. All these nit‑picks didn’t affect our enjoyment, and I would thoroughly recommend it.

The grounds were beautiful and the facilities for youngsters were amazing; the walking areas were lovely. We appreciated having an en‑suite on the ground floor and the shower was excellent. There was no air‑con, the kettle and condiments were poor, and there were no tissues. A bath mat was missing and the furniture was limited.

The location was great, the host was friendly, and the value was very good. There was no restaurant on site, but Monmouth isn’t far away.
