The breakfast was lovely.

The rooms were spacious, and we even had three beds in a double room.

Although the breakfast options were limited, what we had was good quality. Our room, number 31, was clean but a bit dated. The bathroom was excellent; it had been recently refitted and was perfect. The staff were lovely. We originally planned two nights but stayed only one because Bundoran wasn’t for us, not the hotel. We used the bar and had a lovely evening; the locals were very welcoming.

The pub downstairs was nice and most of the staff were friendly. The beds were comfortable and the building had an elevator. However, we were given a terrible room with a view of a courtyard littered with trash cans—see the photos. That room isn’t worth the price; it’s outrageous! We asked for another room, but they said everything was booked. The room was extremely noisy; we could hear every step on the upper floor. The door lock was ancient and could have been opened with a paperclip. There was nothing nice in the room—no picture, no décor. After the first night, no room service came at all, and on the second night, only the beds were made while the bathroom was left uncleaned. Breakfast was either Irish or English, or just toast with jam; no sausage or cheese. The scrambled eggs were tasty. Bundoran’s glory days are long over, with many vacant spots, broken pubs, and worn-out restaurants. The Atlantic is close, which is nice, but I think there are better places. Bottom line: drive elsewhere. I also emailed the Booking customer service but received no help.
