I arrived late, and the staff were ready to help with check‑in right away. They showed me my room and explained the early check‑out process. The room was clean and the hot shower worked well. All good.

Our flight was delayed and the people picking us up from the car park were an hour late too. I chose this hotel because it was a mile from the car park. After a long day of travel and delays, it was great to stay there—just five minutes to get to the hotel. Reception called at 9.20 pm to check we were okay, since check‑in was until 8 pm. We arrived just before 10 pm, and the welcome was friendly and we were directed to our room. It was very clean, with tea, coffee and bottled water available. We didn’t eat there because it was too late, but the menu looked good. The only downside, and that’s me being picky, is that it’s next to the car park. In the early hours of dawn you can hear retired pensioners gathering in their masses for a round of golf. It was a lovely sunny day, so their hip joints and knees warmed up nicely for a splendid round, and there was a loud conversation about tee‑off times by our window. I would stay again. All good.

It’s out of the way, nice, and peaceful, and the staff were friendly. Even though it was a used golf course around the club, it was still very quiet and not too far to go out if you want to see the town. The TV could have been more modern and allowed streaming. Wi‑Fi in my room was okay, not amazing but fine for using your phone. A maid came in while I was changing, but there was no sign on the door saying don’t disturb, and she left quickly when she saw my legs. I should have locked the door; in all fairness I didn’t get a time for when they come to change bedsheets, etc. No one to blame really.
