Three Cocks Hotel

There was mold on the bathroom ceiling from bad ventilation and on a pillowcase. The room was small and on the front side of a fairly busy through‑road. The old building had charm but the floors creaked and it was quite noisy. No free breakfast came with the fairly high price. Overall, I thought the cost was too high for the room quality.

“Lovely hotel”

It was a lovely welcoming place to rest on our journey. It would have been nice to have someone available to speak to, but we were there at odd times.

“Clean cosy inn, but did we need a million phone calls/ messages regarding time of arrival?”

The inn felt lovely, with a cosy bedroom and common rooms that were clean and exactly what you want from a country cottage; the morning breakfast was lovely and the staff were friendly. However, we were asked repeatedly for our arrival time even after we had provided it, and received calls while driving on the motorway, forcing us to stop at a service station to call back, even though all they wanted was the arrival time.

“Over all had a lovely stay, staff and place lovely.”

Finding the property was a breeze, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My partner and I enjoyed playing games in the large room with settees, books, blankets, and games. The bedrooms were nicely decorated and the beds very comfortable. On the downside, the bedroom floor was uneven and we kept tripping over it, the bathroom ceiling had a few mould spots, and there were spiders and baby spiders mainly in the bath. The breakfast could have been better for the price – the eggs were undercooked, the sausages were very slim, and the bacon was fattier than meat. There was a small pot of beans, which my partner said felt more like a snack than a breakfast.
