Over the Sea

Our host was really friendly and attentive, the marina was quiet and we slept well in our small boat. We liked the originality of staying on a boat instead of in the city. The metro/Uber are close enough, and we even walked to Barceloneta along the beach (for those who enjoy walking!). The boat was well equipped and clean. We were unlucky with the weather, staying during the red rain and flood alerts… At least on a boat you float no matter what 😉. Thanks! We would have liked access to the marina showers, but they were under maintenance… The only drawback was that the bathroom shower was fine for two nights… But when you’re on a boat you know… So it didn’t bother us!

The spot was spot‑on, close to the sea and the bike rental. The owner was friendly and kept us posted on local events. A small downside was the absence of a folding table for lunch on the back of the boat and a grill on the pier; otherwise everything was spot‑on.

Living on the boat was a great experience, and the evenings were romantic and beautiful, but the only downside was the mosquitoes and the daytime heat.

“Deludente, mai in agosto”

Staying on a boat felt cozy, but it was unbearably hot; the onboard AC couldn't cool it, so sleep was impossible. We opened the hatches around 2 a.m. to get some breeze, yet mosquitoes swarmed, and the boat and nearby port were filled with unpleasant smells from a nearby factory or refinery.
