“Good location, pleasant staff, let down by ageing decorative order.”
The beach was close by and the staff were very good, but the villa was dark and in a poor state of decorative condition.

It was very nice and very well situated, though the service level could be improved; it was too pricey and I had a few hiccups with the front desk not being respectful and with mix‑ups in halal food.

Everything was perfect.

The diverse offering you’d expect from a 5* hotel and the dreamy view from the 4th floor were positives, but the breakfast room was too small, the long walks through the hotel and having to pass the reception in swimwear were negatives, and the beach in front of the hotel was okay—Indonesia has better options.

The pool’s steps are almost level, so even my wife with weak legs could get in, though a handrail would have been nice. Breakfast—both the venue and the staff, plus the food—were all excellent. I couldn’t figure out how to operate the air‑conditioner and it stayed chilly; I also wanted to run it in dehumidify mode to lower the humidity but didn’t know the settings. I had booked a room with two beds, but the mattresses were limp, so I asked for firmer ones and they were swapped out right away. The single‑size bed felt like it could tip over and the room was tight and cramped.
