The proximity to the train station meant we could get to the city quickly, and the staff were helpful; nothing to report.

The hotel was wonderfully central relative to Oxford’s train station, but I was heavily disturbed by extensive roadworks that rumbled day and night; both the hotel and the annex looked worn and it was hard to make them appear clean.

The room was super comfortable and very pretty, but I didn’t like the check‑in system—having to enter a door code instead of a reception desk is off-putting.

The location was good, but they advertised a breakfast inclusion that turned out to be just fruit, yogurt, and corn flakes; everything else had to be paid for on the spot, and the noise from outside construction was insane, both day and night, starting at 0700 on a Sunday.
