The location was great, but the room was very sparse and we were prepared for that for one night. Important to know: there was no sink or soap, only a small tap next to the toilet. At night the room was quite cold, so pack warm clothes. Also, after 1 a.m. it got very loud because the first Jeeps were on the road and the homestay sits directly on the main street.

I liked the location. The only downside was that the water was cold, the bathroom was very basic, the sink was basically a kitchen tap with a simple water connection like a garden hose, and the toilet bowl was wobbly.

The shop nearby was the only good thing. It was very noisy, the shower barely worked, it wasn’t very clean, the staff were always absent, and the lock was hard to close, which was a real problem.

I booked this hotel for its location, and it’s great for watching sunrise over Mount Bromo. The staff were practically nonexistent. The rooms were poorly insulated; we could hear cars and scooters all night and cold air seeped through windows and doors. The bathroom was mediocre and unsafe because of its fixtures. There was a water heater with a visible flame positioned right above the shower. There was no sink or proper shower. Finally, a power outage lasted several hours and was resolved by a generator that was very loud.
