Getting to the hotel was a breeze and there was plenty of on‑site parking. The staff were welcoming, the rooms were tidy and the air‑conditioning essential. The restaurant served a solid menu, breakfast was tasty, and checking out was smooth. The venue works well for weddings. However, we never heard back about moving our arrival time, and we had to request dinner and breakfast times at check‑in. The breakfast line was busy and a bit slow, even though the area wasn’t crowded. No rush needed.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and I couldn’t find anything to criticize.

The hotel was close to the Cavan Equestrian Centre, and the spa, pool and gym looked appealing, though we never used the gym. The price felt way too high for what was offered, and a 4‑star rating seemed more like a 3‑star in reality.

Most staff were welcoming and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the food tasted good. The pool area was dated and basic, and the public swimming lessons were noisy. A leisure staff member was extremely unfriendly, and another approached me at breakfast in an accusatory tone to ask for my room number, even though I’d already shared it while eating with my husband and child. The hotel lacked atmosphere; it was a birthday and our first stay with a young child, and we had expected a fun environment because of the pool and park.
