The location was great and everything was close by, and it was a good value, but the sweet had no cooking range, refrigerator, utensils, coffee maker, or coffee pot.

The price was reasonable, but the doors were dirty and the light switches were filthy.

The facilities were clean and well maintained, and the bed was comfortable enough that we both slept very well. The location was close enough to the TR presidential library to be convenient, and the price fell within our budget. A box of tissues was in the room (which I always seem to need), and there were plenty of outlets for charging phones and computers. The kitchenette had a full‑sized refrigerator, but it lacked any utensils or kitchen items, so cooking on the range or in the microwave was impossible. The exterior door near our room did not lock, though this is not a high‑crime area. The staff were very congenial.

I booked and paid for one night in July, only to be charged again by the hotel staff when I arrived, meaning I paid twice for the same night. When I noticed the double charge, I went straight to the front desk, where the woman—who I think was the manager—claimed the hotel had not received any money, which was supposedly why I was asked to pay again upon arrival, and told me to contact them directly. She also said that if the hotel eventually received the money, she would personally process my refund, but that never happened. I then spent more than a month fighting to get my money back. As part of the refund process, I had to contact the hotel because, according to them, they had received the payment and needed to return it before I could be refunded. However, the hotel did not respond to repeated attempts to contact them. In the end, what should have been a simple overnight stay during a road trip turned into more than a month of chasing two companies to recover money that should never have been taken twice in the first place. I sincerely hope the hotel makes good use of the extra money they held onto—maybe starting with improving some of their appliances. Needless to say, I will not be staying here again, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
