The location alone was fine, close to the center and the Naples central station. Our stay at the Royal Hammer was awful. From the moment we arrived, it was a nightmare: the accommodation is in a regular residential building and even after repeatedly ringing the bell, no one answered. We had to call the contact number and wait on the street until someone dared to open the door. The receptionist appeared in a deplorable state: shorts, a t‑shirt, street clothes, all sweaty, looking like he had just come from a soccer match. Zero professionalism. The room is extremely basic, plain and disappointing. In the amenities, the basics are missing: there is no shampoo, only a generic body wash "for everything". The coffee machine is in bad condition and the coffee comes out cold. The "breakfast" is an anecdote: croissants wrapped in plastic, dry packaged biscuits, boxed orange juice, supermarket milk and water. To make matters worse, the first two days were barely complete; on the last day they simply cut the water, juice and milk. Paying for that is disrespectful to the customer. I do not recommend it to anyone and I will never return. The quality‑price ratio is terrible and the management is amateurish.

They called us the day before we arrived, which was very useful when we booked the stay. We shouldn't offer breakfast because the operator's structure makes the offer non‑competitive.

Breakfast is simple but acceptable. It would be nice to add a small table outside on the balcony, since there are already two chairs, so you can have breakfast there.
