The location was central and clean, but the room furnishings were very plain, the bathroom was extremely small, and for the price we’d have been better off at another hotel; the hotel photos don’t really match reality.

The hotel was clean and the location pretty good, yet several issues really hurt the experience. I had booked a late checkout on Booking and arrived at 23:00, only to find the door locked and have to wait about 5 minutes for someone to open it. The breakfast, for a €144 a night hotel, was very poor: few vegetables, little fruit, and almost no cereals. At 7:30 I went to a completely empty, windowless basement room. The brioche were cold, and there was no coffee machine, bar, drinks, or juices. I had to wait for a waitress in the kitchen to get a coffee; she told me she was alone during the shift, which seemed odd for a Sunday at a four‑star hotel. The checkout was also surprising: the time was 11:00, but at 10:58 Elisabetta from reception called me, insisting I leave before 11 or I’d have to pay €20 to stay until 12. It felt strange and quite aggressive, especially since the hotel was still quiet and empty.

I find the place very convenient and I end up using it at least once every two months. The downside is that the price is steep.

The staff were incredibly kind, the room was huge and spotless, and breakfast was superb, but the hotel’s proximity to the station and the view of a rundown building at the back were not ideal.
