KD was AMAZING! The location was great. As a former GM, AGM & Executive Housekeeping Manager with many years in the hotel industry, I was very disappointed with the overall cleanliness and public area upkeep. I made a same‑day reservation because the power had gone out at home and the hotel was close. From the outside, the entrance looked well kept, but while waiting in the lobby for the front desk agent to finish with other guests, an older man was at the vending machine wearing a shirt, underwear, and socks—my first impression of the place. When it was my turn to check in, the process was fast, informative, and refreshing. If I were still in the industry, KD would have been someone I’d want at my establishment; he’s a gem who tried his best to accommodate me and my three children. There were no pans or cups left, but I did receive the bottom‑floor accommodation I requested. The lobby was clean, the hallway to my room was clear of trash, but the housekeeping and general upkeep of appliances and amenities was another story. Entering my room, I found a bed booked as a queen size that looked like a full size with a pull‑out couch. The pull‑out couch was larger than the actual bed and placed by the front door, so for safety my children would have to sleep in the bed and I would sleep on the couch. The comforter on the “queen size” bed had a small blood stain, and the linen for the pull‑out couch bed was similarly stained. The bathroom door was chipped and didn’t close all the way without pushing it up, and the back of the door and the wall had yellow streaks of dried liquid—an absolutely nasty feeling room.
