The facilities were good, but the staff mainly catered to locals, seemed to care about tips, and many tables in the dining room were reserved without any explanation, leaving us with nowhere to sit; the drinks were mediocre, evident from the almost empty glasses left around the bar.

The pools were great and the beach was easily reachable, but the food was awful and I even spotted a roach beside my meal, so I definitely deserved a refund for those two problems.

The pool was fine. In the Hibachi restaurant, a man with the last name Familia denied my wife and me entry, acting defiantly; I gave him 10 dollars and he let us in, but it got worse. A waiter named Lorenzo (I don't remember the exact name) tried to force us to sit at a dirty table because of his tantrum, claiming we were Colombian; I argued with him until a waitress named Santa intervened and offered to help. Still, the man Familia and the awful waiter behaved defiantly, assuming we were Colombian; I don't know what the issue is between Dominicans and Colombians. Overall, at the Río Bambú hotel almost everything is wrong; I do not recommend it, I will never return. There are many other unpleasant situations, but I don't have time to describe them all. As a Mexican, I felt discriminated against in general. I do not recommend it at all; I would prefer any other hotel, preferably without all-inclusive. Remember that the paid music was bad, the sound was awful, and it was very unpleasant.

The beach was fine despite the sargassum, and the air conditioning worked well in both my room and the main restaurant, but at night the noise was loud; we were three people sharing a sofa bed, which felt uncomfortable, and the staff were generally friendly, though the overall facilities looked a bit old.
