The property was on par with other hotels. The room was under the roof, and with a perceived 35 °C it was almost impossible to sleep; there was no fan or similar in the room. At such high outdoor temperatures that’s outrageous. What they should make clear on their website for cyclists is that this is a vegan hotel.

The setting is surrounded by plenty of nature and lovingly restored old buildings. The all‑vegan cuisine wasn’t quite to our taste; we’ll prefer vegetarian options using organic products like milk and eggs in the future.

A beautiful, relaxing spot in the old castle and the old school, with a great park. The breakfast was fantastic. It’s perfect for trips to the Elbtal valley or Wittenberge. The vegan dinner was a bit bland and disappointing.

The staff were friendly. The restaurant only serves vegan food, and breakfast is only vegan with no other options. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels, and this was the worst breakfast ever.
