“Un cadre magnifique, mais un séjour peu serein.”
The house was beautiful, with chic and refined décor. The room was spacious, lovely, and the bedding comfortable. The manager was friendly, funny, available, and attentive. However, leaving the national road requires about 10 minutes on a rocky track to reach the house, plus a 30‑minute drive from the center of Essaouira. The road isn’t lit, which can feel a bit unsettling for evening outings. The major downside was the presence of scorpions in the area; the manager warned us about them upon arrival, but constant vigilance was necessary. Finding a scorpion in the room, even with doors and windows closed, was especially unsettling and showed the risk isn’t limited to the outdoors. Under those circumstances, enjoying the place fully and calmly was difficult. Additionally, there was no Wi‑Fi throughout the stay and the mobile network was quite limited.
