Located at the best spot in Igatu, the inn impresses right from the start with its charm and evident care in every corner. The space perfectly reflects the host’s personality and taste, who stands out for extremely attentive, helpful, and welcoming service. With thoughtfully designed details to make guests feel at home, the place offers an impeccable experience with great value. A stay that really deserves to be repeated.
We spent four days at the Pausada dos Retalhos and Diana was a super attentive host, always ready with tips for hikes and outings. The house’s décor matches her warm, natural style, and the village of Igatu offers great little restaurants, climbing with local guides, and even a visit to old mining ruins and a cave. Getting there took a night bus from Salvador to Tanquinho, then another bus to Andaraí and a taxi, a bit of a trek but totally worth it. Everything turned out perfect.
