“Heeft potentie, maar de kwaliteit is niet goed ten opzichte van de prijs”
The staff were pleasant and the rooms looked nice, providing everything we required – a fridge, a minibar (extra charge), air‑conditioning, water, coffee, a shower and a little pool, plus monkeys and birds roaming around. It was very kind of the team to bring our dinner up to the room and carry the heavy suitcases, although you have to ask for that. On the downside, the price‑to‑value ratio felt off; for a high rate I expected service to be automatic without having to request anything, and the hotel should look after its employees better, supplying clean work clothes daily and allowing them to shower. All the food we received tasted fine but was always cold, as if it had been prepared three hours earlier and never reheated, which is unacceptable when you’re the only guest. They also mixed up orders – ordering one egg and cornflakes resulted in two eggs and no cornflakes, even though my husband doesn’t eat eggs. Being photographed without permission during breakfast was uncomfortable. The staff need training in etiquette, table setting and service, or the room rates should be lowered. Because of a bad Wi‑Fi connection I accidentally booked two rooms: one downstairs with a pool and another upstairs on the hill with a pool. I later cancelled the pricey hilltop room, but the hotel never processed the cancellation through the booking site. The many stairs to the top made me reluctant to keep that room. Upon arrival they said the cheap downstairs room was already occupied, forcing us into the expensive hilltop room even though the hotel was empty, which felt like a rip‑off of 100 EURO. When we were about to leave, the staff kindly gave us the upstairs room at the lower price, which was generous, yet I still left with a twisted knee from the slippery, deep‑stepped stairs, especially after rain. You can’t drive right up to the hotel; you must park on an industrial area below that feels separate, and the route to the property is confusing.
