The villa’s location is gorgeous, the space is huge, and the breakfast was excellent. However, some fixtures in the room need better upkeep, and there were no staff or towels available at the pool.

The food was subpar and I ended up with food poisoning from the fried chicken, the only meal I had that day because I was traveling.

After the Bromo tour, we relaxed in a classic villa that offered plenty of space, a charming décor, and a lovely kingsize bed. Unfortunately, we suffered from stomach flu, so the room was heavily used. The staff were very attentive and concerned about my condition, and it was convenient to communicate with them via WhatsApp. The exterior of the houses looks a bit dated, as mentioned in earlier reviews, but inside they’re prettier than the photos shown on Booking. Each house has its own router, which is great. I wanted to golf, but that didn’t happen. We were an hour’s drive from Surabaya for our flight, and overall it was a top spot for us. The whole complex could use a fresh coat of paint to look fresher.

The houses were spacious and comfortable, but the former glory is gone and it feels a bit shabby. The tennis court is gone, overgrown and no longer usable. Everything feels a bit neglected; there are no lounge chairs by the pool. The restaurant closes at 18:00, yet we could still order food and drinks.

The toilets weren’t functioning properly and the shutters were also problematic.
