I was blown away by how spotless and comfy the place was! Emmanuelle welcomed us with a smile and was always ready to explain the island’s best spots and activities, even offering scooter rentals so we could explore on our own. We absolutely loved staying on Cozumel and the black pearl, and if you’re looking for quality lodging, this is the spot. Highly recommend!!!

The location was great, but I’m allergic to cats and everywhere – from the table to the communal kitchen – was covered in cat hair, so we couldn’t use the facilities.

A perfect, super comfy spot for divers, with great location, flawless rooms, and the hotel even rents scooters. The kitchen is also excellent and fully equipped for cooking. Everything was great!

La Perle Noire is a real treasure on Cozumel. Emmanuelle welcomed us warmly, went out of her way to meet our needs, and made us feel at home. She showed us the shared kitchen where we could brew coffee and grab free water. She also arranges a variety of activities and trips—snorkeling, diving, and beach‑car rentals for island road trips—which I highly recommend, and diving with them was fantastic! The rooms are clean, spacious, especially the upstairs one with its own rooftop terrace. And don’t forget to meet Sparrow, the friendly house cat! The only slight drawback is the somewhat remote location, but that hardly mattered because there are plenty of restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and a bakery within walking distance.
