I really liked the property—it was very clean and comfortable. The building sits close to the ferry station, making it easy to cross from one side of the island to the other. The ferry runs from 6 AM until midnight, and for foreigners the fare is around 15 EGP. The hotel is family‑run, with the family living on the first floor and the other floors available for guests. This is especially convenient because they’re around and can help anytime. The hosts were very welcoming, calm, and friendly, and they know a lot about the island and gladly answered questions or gave recommendations. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this place.

The location on Elephantine Island was nice to experience in this very friendly family environment. The rooftop view is great, overlooking the river and the city. The owner offers excursions with his motorboat on the Nile, and the botanical garden is a must‑visit for peace and quiet. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that the economy room I booked did not include a river view, which left us in a very average room that compromised the experience.

“Due giorni sull'isola elefantina.”

The property is located on Elephantine Island in the center of the Nile, and it has a beautiful terrace with a breathtaking panorama. The staff is extremely kind and courteous, and JJ, the host, welcomed us with open arms and made us feel part of the family right away. They were very friendly and super helpful, offering the possibility to organize tours, private boat transport, and airport transfers. The only thing I would suggest is a more thorough cleaning of the rooms, but otherwise it was a wonderful experience that I would gladly repeat a thousand times.

The room was very clean, quiet, and the bathroom facilities were new, with complimentary tissues, shampoo, and shower gel; both the room and the rooftop restaurant overlook the Nile, giving a great view and beautiful scenery. The staff were warm, sincere, and had a good attitude. Overall it was still very good. The location is on Elephantine Island, so you have to take a boat back and forth, which is not very convenient. The village is all dirt roads, very dusty, dragging luggage is hard, and everything—pants, shoes, bags—gets dusty. At night some roads in the village are unlit, which is scary; girls should not wander alone at night, and even as a guy I felt a bit uneasy.
