“安心できるしいいかと思います。”
The owner’s wife was incredibly helpful and the breakfast was great, though the place sits a fair way from Karuizawa yet is close to Kusatsu, and a bus from Karuizawa Station stops nearby, which is convenient.
The location matched our travel schedule perfectly. It’s not the facility’s fault, but the barking dogs nearby are often audible.

They left dog supplies for us and stocked the guest room with plates, cups, disposable chopsticks, coffee and tea, yet insects managed to get into the guest room.

It was nice that dogs were allowed, but unlike my previous visit the room this time lacked a bathtub and toilet.

Breakfast was delicious and the female staff greeted me with warm smiles, but the lack of an elevator was disappointing; the private‑use bath was lovely and I enjoyed the hour‑long soak, although the room had no toilet, sink or shower, which was inconvenient.
