“Good stay!”
The location is good in a very small Norwegian town. Most rooms are in a modern block‑style apartment complex, but the hotel also has an older, beautiful historical section for breakfast and dinner.

Located in Balestrand, the 18th-century Kviknes Hotel offers stunning Sognefjord views, elegant dining, and modern guest rooms with separate seating areas, work desks, and cable TV. Many rooms feature balconies with fjord views. The hotel showcases historic art pieces and antiques, and its on-site restaurant serves international cuisine with a wine cellar. Activities include wine tasting, cultural walks, and day trips to nearby attractions like the Urnes Stave Church.

Fantastic, nice place for breakfast. Very good breakfast with a good selection at the buffet. Friendly service.

I liked the breakfast room because it offered a nice view, but the double room only had one towel rack and the toilet paper was hard to reach.

The location is unbeatable, especially the historic part of the hotel, but the rooms feel cramped and the newer sections look a bit stale; breakfast is decent but nothing special, and they don’t offer anything on the menu.
