How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The house is stunning and situated in a gorgeous spot amid nature. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is large. The kitchen is fully equipped. The owners live on the premises and share some spaces, which for us added value: they are welcoming and helpful, know a lot about Iceland, and have beautiful stories to tell. It felt like staying with friends.

The building was beautiful and in a lovely setting. It was well located within easy distance of Akureyri, Húsavík and the Myvatn area. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Everything was great. If I had to be picky, the room was very dark. A nightlight for the bathroom would have been very helpful.

The Guesthouse was in an ideal location for accessing Húsavík and Akureyri and was also a few minutes away from Goðafoss. The property was extremely clean. The bedroom was comfortable. The shared kitchen had everything you could need to prepare a meal and plenty of space. We felt like we were intruding in the dining and lounge area with the owners being there a lot of the time. There was also another couple with their child; they may have been related, or if not, seemed to know the owners well as they ate together in the evening and sprawled out on the sofa. Because of this, we tended to eat quickly and go back to our bedroom. Our stay was not made any more comfortable as another couple were also staying there with their child and both kids just ran around the lounge and dining area playing and screaming a lot of the time. The second night I literally had to wear earplugs while eating as I suffer from hyper‑sensitivity in one ear. Hence, because of this personal experience I have given a relatively low score for the property but I dare say at different times things may well have been different. I can only comment and score on my time there.

A traditional house, super cozy and quiet. The French and Italian owners were very welcoming and available, sharing the stay and kitchen with us. The bathroom was private. The room felt a bit small for three adults.
