The location was good

The location is good, although you need to hike up the hill from the station or take a bus from St Erth (I arrived by train); breakfast was lovely, the room was nice and quiet aside from the road, and you could hear the brook bubbling just outside the bathroom which was very nice; the place seemed very popular. I had to remember to duck when leaving the bedroom because the owner is very tall, so he must do it automatically; not really a detriment, but just had to be careful.

Breakfast was absolutely brilliant and the hosts were very friendly, helpful and always on hand to provide local information; the Wi‑Fi for customers was very poor and, if I am being really critical, the mattress/pillows could have been better (too soft).

The breakfast spread was healthy and thoughtfully arranged, and the place was spotless; we had a great time laughing together during our summer holiday, and John and Linda were fantastic hosts. The hotel’s location makes it easy to catch local transport to wherever you need to go.
