“Beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming, with amazing hosts who went above and beyond!”
Our stay at this riad was truly wonderful, and it felt like a home away from home. The riad itself was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet, with a warm and comfortable atmosphere that kept me from feeling homesick. What really made the experience special were our hosts, Salah and Abdul. Both were incredibly polite, caring, patient, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. I admit I can be a bit picky and annoying with my many questions and requests, but Salah and Abdul were always patient, informative, helpful, and eager to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They set a very high bar for hospitality that will be hard for any other place to match. Breakfast was another highlight—everything was delicious, and I especially appreciated how much Salah and Abdul went out of their way to accommodate our preferences. I mentioned wanting shakshuka one morning, and even though it wasn’t part of the usual breakfast, they made sure we had it the next day. That small gesture showed how much they genuinely care about their guests. There was also an incident that showed the staff’s commitment to safety and comfort: one night my wife and I were returning to the riad very late when a local person began harassing us and demanding money. We were trying to get inside but had trouble opening the door, and the person kept bothering us, even threatening to involve the riad to force us to pay. The only downside was that we had to walk a little farther than expected to catch a taxi, and sometimes locals can be a bit rude at night, but that was unrelated to the riad or its staff.
