After a tiring flight, the accommodation was a highlight thanks to its lovely location, spacious garden, and friendly host. The garden has a pool and a terrace with a fantastic view over the hills of Alajuela. Renata cared for us lovingly and prepared a tasty breakfast. Staying longer at this nice spot is definitely worth it. The only drawback was the low water pressure in the shower.

“Ein freundlicher Empfang und netter kurzer Aufenthalt”

Perfect for the first few days in Costa Rica or for exploring Alajuela and San José. We drove there and were warmly and personally welcomed by Renate. She is a professional hotel manager, yet she also cares for guests like a mother. The rooms are spacious and families with children are very welcome. The hotel boasts a beautiful garden full of plants, flowers, and birds— I even saw a hummingbird on the first morning. A large terrace with rocking chairs gives the hotel its name. We could park our car safely in front of the reception. The property has a fence and a heavy electric gate facing the street, giving complete peace of mind. The outdoor breakfast (covered) is excellent.

The peace, spotless rooms, and beautiful flora and fauna were amazing; we even spotted toucans. Everything was perfect.

“Had the absolute best time and will be coming back!”

Quiet and gorgeous, with an amazing pool and lovely landscaping. Breakfast finished a little early and there weren’t many options afterward.
