“Beautiful little picturesque village close to the canal”

The host was fantastic—welcoming and super helpful. We found bread, milk, orange juice, butter, jam, marmalade, tea, coffee, sugar, and bottled water waiting for us, and they were restocked daily. The spot was perfect, with a beautiful village near a canal for dog walks and a lovely pub; the pet‑friendly courtyard was safe. The kitchen was limited, so we could only make snacks, and it would have been nice to have a more comfortable spot to relax and read after a long day.

The location is great, but parking is a hassle and the stairs are steep. There’s no kitchen sink, though the host was accommodating.

“Yorkshire gem”

The kitchenette extras—cereal, milk, juice—were a big plus, and the patio garden offered fantastic views; we’ll return when the weather lets us use it more. The TV had a lot of channel choices. Nothing else to note.

The outside area had great views and was lovely to sit in the morning with a cuppa. Breakfast, tea, and coffee supplies were thoughtful, and the kitchen had enough equipment for snacks and light meals. The village’s canalside walk and a good pub were pleasant, and the location was perfect for visiting Haworth, Skipton, and Grassington. It was clean, comfortable, and better value than a Travelodge. The only downside is the steep stairs to the bathroom, but that didn’t bother us.

“Fabulous location and views. Excellent host. Very well provided for.”

Having milk and orange juice in the fridge, plus bread and cereals, was a lovely touch; we didn’t need to bring anything else because we only used the place for sleeping and spent time with family. The steep stairs to the bathroom made me cautious with my young son.
